Testimony of Recovery: Visit of Pdt. Yohannes Nahuway to GBI Mawar Saron Neglasari Branch

Neglasari, Tangerang City — On February 9, 2026, The Pastor Of The GBI Session Mawar Saron, Pdt. Yohannes Nahuway, M.Th., made a service visit to GBI Mawar Saron Neglasari Branch which is located in Sewan, Jl. Perkutut VI, RT.001/RW.006, Neglasari, Neglasari District, Tangerang City, Banten 15129. This branch is shepherded by Mr. Pdt. Ronny Equally Weighed.

The visit became a meaningful moment, because it is not only pastoral, but also strengthens a testimony of faith that has lasted for approximately 11 years. The essence of this event is the testimony of God's loyalty, patience, and power in restoring the ownership of the church without having to go through legal channels, although there was a claim from the previous synod when the Neglasari branch decided to join to be part of the big family of GBI Mawar Saron.

Previously, this church was indeed under the auspices of another synod. When deciding to join GBI Mawar Saron, there was a problem regarding the claim to church land by the previous synod. In fact, the ownership of the land is private property, not owned by the synod. This situation brings the congregation and pastors into a long waiting period, approximately eleven years, with various dynamics and pressures that are not easy to face.

Humanely, there is an open opportunity to solve this problem through legal channels. But in wisdom and faith, the church chose not to take that step and still wait for God's help. This decision becomes a belief that God himself is the Defence of His people. Praise God, without going through a legal process, God works in His way and returns the church's land. This event confirms that God himself defends and restores what belongs to His people after more than a decade of waiting. This testimony is a clear proof that loyalty in difficult times is never in vain. Visit of Mr. Pdt. Yohannes Nahuway, M.Th., increasingly strengthens the congregation and pastors of the Neglasari branch that the God who calls is the God who also protects and defends His ministry. May this testimony be an encouragement of faith for many churches and servants of God to stand firm, believe, and not give up in the face of every challenge of ministry.

Lord Jesus bless us all.
Greetings of abundance to GBI Mawar Saron 2.0.
